Iolite, 14k gold & sterling silver pendant
While clearing our property to make it fire-safe, I accidentally stumbled across a southern-pacific white-banded rattlesnake, which, according to a venomous-snake aficionado, is a rare, hidden snake. With absolutely no aggression, she immediately slithered away (after I let out my embarrassing scream *facepalm*) giving me room to continue my work.
She inspired me to create this pendant, which I hope will honor her as my gratitude for her respecting my boundaries and safety.
Rare, southern-Pacific rattlesnake
Don't get me wrong: I'm not going to go out and hug her. However, I respect her place and role here, and I appreciate her respecting my place here, too.
Details
A faceted iolite is wrapped by a sterling silver rattlesnake, which has a 14k gold head and rattle. The snake wraps itself around the chain making it the bail as well.
