The dendritic opals are reminiscent of snowy mountains and slopes. Therefore, I designed the piece around the stories of skiing, snowboarding, sledding, hot chocolate, etc. The pendant’s back-plate is fine-silver that has been patinaed black to highlight the mountain-shaped 24k gold, which has been fused to the silver. This design depicts the scene of mountains disappearing in a snow storm as the clouds approach.

Dendritic opal is known as the “Stone of Plentitude” as it is associated with all abundant things such as prosperity, family, friends, etc. It is said to be grounding and connects one with earth energies. It is associated with the Gemini and Virgo signs as well as the Root and Crown Chakras.
