The dendritic opal are reminiscent of snowy mountains and slopes. Therefore, I designs the piece around the stories of skiing, snowboarding, sledding, hot chocolate, etc. The pendant’s back-plate is fine-silver that has been patinaed black to highlight the mountain-shaped 24k gold, which has been fused to the silver. This design depicts the scene of mountains disappearing in a snow storm as the clouds approach.
